I Was Dying Of BP In The Heart, Ibrahim Mahama Flew Me Abroad – Dzokoto’s Last Words On His Sickness

Before his sudden death, veteran actor Kwame Dzokoto spoke openly about his sickness.

In an interview with Blakk Rasta on The Black Pot on September 22, 2026, the Efiewura star said he suffered blood pressure related to the heart.

“I was battling with BP related to the heart and all sorts of things,” he said.

According to him, it was First Lady Lordina Mahama who first got to know about his condition. She then pressured businessman Ibrahim Mahama to help him.

By God’s grace, Ibrahim Mahama funded his surgery abroad and took him outside Ghana for treatment.

Kwame Dzokoto praised the Mahama family for their help and said their support should be recognized.

He also spoke about his bloated appearance that caused public concern. He explained that he was supposed to avoid sugar, but he took some honey instead, and he bloated.

He said he had switched from sugar to honey but later found out the honey product he was using contained caramel sugar, which made him swell.

He clarified at that time that he was now doing well and healthy.

Sadly, just weeks after that interview, the actor collapsed during a live panel discussion at OWASS Radio in Tarkwa and was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital.

His story about his illness and how Ibrahim Mahama helped him has now resurfaced online after his death, with many Ghanaians praising the Mahama family for their kindness.
