That was the push. I decided to build a proper offline folder on my phone. Workouts in one, recipes in another, a third for grooming stuff like beard trims and how to actually use a pomade without looking like a wet cat.

Around 60 clips in, I had opinions about the tools.

Nothing fancy. Same set of clips for every option: a deadlift form breakdown, a 15-minute paneer bhurji, a fade tutorial, and a couple of short stretching routines. I tried each tool on my Android phone and my work laptop. Then I scored them out of 10 on four things that mattered to me.

The final score is my overall call, not a strict average.

The routine is short. Open the clip in TikTok, tap Share, tap Copy Link, paste it on the site, download. The site claims about 3 seconds per video and that roughly matched what I saw on decent Wi-Fi. You get an MP4 with no watermark, which is the whole point when you’re squinting at a squat cue.

Quality held up. SnapTik says it keeps the original resolution, Full HD where the creator uploaded it, and doesn’t re-compress. On the deadlift clip I could still read the plate numbers, so I’m inclined to believe it.

It also does MP3. I ripped the audio from a couple of guided breathing clips and now play them on the walk home without the screen on.

No app needed, it works in Chrome on my phone and in Firefox on the laptop. No login. No cap on how many you save, which mattered because I did 20 in one sitting on a Sunday. It’s free and carries ads. That’s the one point I knocked off. There’s also an optional Android app on Google Play, though the browser was enough for me.

If you just want one place for tiktok video download jobs without thinking about it, start there.

Solid. Works on the same paste-a-link idea and got most of my clips without trouble. The page felt more cluttered to me and I hit a misleading button or two. Good backup.

Did the job. Nothing to complain about, nothing that made me switch. If it’s already in your bookmarks, keep it.

Clean page, which I liked. Results were fine on my test set. Tied with TikMate in my head, honestly.

Old name, still works. It gives you more choices on the download screen, and I found that slower when I’m saving clips in bulk. Some guys will like the control.

Convenient, sure. But the file has the TikTok watermark plus the username moving around, and on a form video that logo has a habit of sitting right over the bit you need to see. Also, some creators switch downloads off, and then the option is gone.

I tried it for a week before all this. Notifications popped up mid-rep. Quality dropped. I spent more time trimming than training.

This is the bit nobody talks about. Downloading is easy. Finding the clip three weeks later is not.

I name files like this: gym-legs-rdl-cue, cook-paneer-bhurji, groom-beard-neckline. Category first, then body part or dish, then the detail. Takes five seconds per file and saves me a lot of scrolling later.

Folders sync to my laptop once a week. On Sundays I go through the cooking folder and pick two recipes for the week, which has done more for my diet than any app subscription I’ve paid for.

The grooming folder is the smallest but gets the most use. Before a haircut I pull up the exact fade I want and show the barber the clip, full screen, no logo in the way, no waiting for it to load in a shop with patchy Wi-Fi. He gets it in one look. Saves a lot of hand-waving about “a bit shorter on the sides”.

Save stuff for your own use. If a trainer’s clip helped you, follow them, maybe buy their program. Don’t re-upload their work on your page and pretend it’s yours. That’s just poor form, in every sense.

And check the advice. A saved clip is still a 40-second video from a stranger. If something in a gym clip hurts, stop and ask a qualified coach.

For a guy who wants a clean, offline, sorted stash of useful clips, the browser route wins. Copy, paste, save.

My gym still has no signal. I don’t care anymore.
