How I was hit by stray bullet — Broda Shaggi

According to a report by Daily Post on Thursday, October 22, 2026, Nigerian comedian and skit maker, Samuel Animashaun Perry, popularly known as Broda Shaggi, has recounted his experience after being hit by a stray bullet while filming at the Sango-Ota Bridge in Ogun State in March 2026.

The entertainer narrated the incident in a video shared on his YouTube channel on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, recalling how he initially heard a loud bang before discovering that he had been shot.

According to Broda Shaggi, the incident left him unable to hear sounds around him, despite being able to see people moving and talking outside the vehicle in which he was seated.

He described the moment as frightening, explaining that everything suddenly became silent after the gunshot, leaving him confused about what had happened.

“All of a sudden, all I heard was a loud bang. Everywhere was silent. But I could still see people moving outside, people talking, but I couldn’t hear what they were saying. It was just total silence in the car,” he recalled.

The comedian further explained that he discovered the injury after touching his hip and noticing blood. It was at that point that he realised he had been struck by a stray bullet.

Broda Shaggi said the experience made him fear for his life as he was taken to the hospital for medical attention.

Recounting his thoughts during the emergency, the skit maker said his immediate concern was surviving the incident, describing the fear and uncertainty he experienced while being rushed for treatment.

“I didn’t want to die. I just don’t want to die,” he said, describing his thoughts as he was rushed to the hospital.
