Ghanaian actor Kwame Dzokoto of ‘Edziban’ fame dead
Ghanaian actor and television personality Kwame Dzokoto has reportedly died after collapsing during a panel discussion on Owass Radio in Tarkwa.
The actor was rushed to a hospital in Tarkwa but was pronounced dead on arrival. A close source to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) reportedly confirmed his death.
Dzokoto’s death comes after he recounted how businessman Ibrahim Mahama helped pay his medical bills when he was battling health complications.
During an interview with Blakk Rasta on The Black Pot on September 22, 2026, Dzokoto disclosed that he had suffered blood pressure-related and heart problems before the First Lady, Lordina Mahama, intervened to help him obtain treatment abroad.
“I was battling with BP-related to the heart and all sorts of things, but by his grace, the First Lady got to know of it, and then she pressured Ibrahim Mahama.
“He took me outside for the surgery and all. In fact, I am healthy and doing well,” he said at the time.
The actor expressed gratitude to the Mahama family for supporting him during the health crisis.
Dzokoto was widely known for his role in the popular Ghanaian television series Efiewura and his work on the Edziban TV show.
