Fresh Details Emerge About Kwame Dzokoto’s Death During Morning Radio Show
It has emerged that the late Ghanaian actor and media personality Seth Kwame Dzokoto drove himself to Owass FM in Tarkwa on Thursday morning to participate in a radio discussion before falling ill in the studio.
The host of the station’s morning programme, Prince Kwaw Gyimah, disclosed the circumstances surrounding the incident during an interview on Adom FM’s Kasiebo is Tasty.
According to Mr Gyimah, the actor arrived at the station in his own vehicle and was preparing to take part in Oman Nkosuo, Owass FM’s morning show.
The programme began at approximately 8:45 a.m., but the situation changed shortly after the broadcast started, when Dzokoto began showing signs of illness.
Mr Gyimah explained that the team had to interrupt the programme after noticing the actor’s deteriorating condition.
The station’s team subsequently rushed Dzokoto to a hospital for emergency medical attention.
However, he was pronounced dead upon arrival, according to the presenter.
In September 2026, Dzokoto had addressed public concerns about his health following an appearance that sparked speculation among some fans.
During an interview at the time, he dismissed rumours of his death and disclosed that he had been dealing with health conditions, including hypertension and diabetes.
He also revealed that he had undergone surgery abroad, with financial assistance from businessman Ibrahim Mahama.
Dzokoto was a well-known figure in Ghana’s entertainment industry, particularly for his portrayal of Judge Koboo in the popular television series Efiewura.
Beyond acting, he built a career in radio and television broadcasting before venturing into politics.
He contested the Tarkwa-Nsuaem parliamentary seat on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2016 general elections.
