Guinness Nigeria Plc has reported a net profit of N40.69 billion for the nine months ended September 30, 2026.
The company’s unaudited financial results showed that revenue grew from N335.07 billion in the corresponding period of 2025, while profit after tax rose from N26.59 billion. Profit before tax also increased by 55.3 per cent, from N39.69 billion to N61.65 billion.
Gross profit climbed by 20.4 per cent to N151.38 billion, compared with N125.72 billion in the prior-year period. Profit from operating activities increased by 23.4 per cent to N64.98 billion, up from N52.64 billion, demonstrating growth in operating earnings despite higher administrative, marketing and distribution expenses.
A significant contributor to the improved bottom line was the reduction in finance expenses, which fell by 61.9 per cent to N5.83 billion from N15.30 billion in the corresponding period of 2025.
Earnings per share also strengthened, rising to 1,858 kobo from 1,214 kobo.
The company recorded revenue of N138.29 billion in the third quarter, representing growth of 41 per cent from N98.07 billion in the corresponding quarter of 2025. Quarterly profit after tax rose to N15.39 billion from N10.08 billion, further contributing to the nine-month performance.
Reflecting sustained profitability, the Board approved an additional interim dividend of N7.00 per share, representing a distribution of approximately N15.33 billion. This brings total interim dividends declared for the financial year to N16.00 per share, comprising N2.00 per share following the first quarter, N7.00 per share following the second quarter and the latest N7.00 per share declaration.
Speaking on the results, the chairman of the Board, Prof. Fabian Ajogwu said, “these results reflect the progress Guinness Nigeria is making in strengthening its financial performance and building a more resilient business. The continued growth in revenue and profitability, alongside our disciplined approach to financial management, provides a solid foundation for the next phase of our journey.”
The managing director and chief executive officer, Girish Sharma, added, “our nine-month performance reflects the progress we are making in strengthening the business and improving profitability. Revenue growth, higher operating earnings and a significant reduction in finance costs have contributed to a stronger bottom line.”
