Bibiani GoldStars SC coach Petros Koukouras: ‘Debibi United Presby Park pitch is designated for cassava plantation and not for football domestically’

The acid-tongued Greek manager believes the Golden Boys away defeat to the Ghanaian elite division newbies was down to the poor field condition of the hosts, with such a playing venue unfit for purpose in hosting football games domestically

Debibi United Presby Park pitch is not meant for football completion in the Ghana Premier League but rather a designated field for cassava plantation farm, according to fuming Bibiani GoldStars SC coach Petros Kououras.

The former Ugandan Pacific Heroes FC manager expressed his dissatisfaction about the poor pitch conditons of the Bono Region based club following his side’s 1-0 away defeat on Matchday 7 of the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.

Speaking in his post-match press conference, the former South Sudan assistant coach pulled no punches in slamming the pathetic nature of the Presby Park having branded it as a match venue meant for cassava plantation on the domestic scene.

“We cannot discuss football. I don’t think this is a pitch designated for football. Maybe it is designated for cassava plantation. I don’t have anything else to say,” he fired to the gathered pressmen when assessing the game at the end of the contest.

Petros Koukouras and his troops will be looking forward to bouncing back to winning ways when they welcome Heart of Lions at the Bibiani Dun’s Park on Matchday 8 of the GPL on Sunday.
