“Arrest Me For The Third Time And See What Happens” — Shatta Wale Warns Authorities
According to a Post by Ghbase on Facebook Official account on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, Ghanaian dancehall musician Shatta Wale has issued a stern warning to the authorities, declaring that another attempt to arrest him could lead to consequences they might not expect.
The musician made the statement during a TikTok live broadcast, where he discussed alleged fraud and expressed dissatisfaction with what he described as unequal treatment under Ghana’s justice system.
His comments followed his appearance at ShattaFest 2026, where he questioned why young people accused of fraud were being arrested while some government officials facing allegations of misusing public funds did not appear to face similar consequences.
Shatta Wale argued that the country’s system needed to be examined, insisting that authorities should address the conditions allowing fraudulent activities to continue instead of concentrating only on individuals accused of such offences.
During the broadcast, he also referred to allegations of fraud involving authorities during the World Cup period, questioning why his comments about alleged wrongdoing among national leaders often attracted criticism.
The musician maintained that people should be willing to discuss these issues openly if Ghana genuinely wanted to address the problem.
Reflecting on his previous experiences with law enforcement, Shatta Wale disclosed that he had been arrested on one occasion and taken to Ankaful Prison. He also recalled another incident during which his Lamborghini was seized.
According to him, he does not participate in fraudulent activities and believes the authorities should focus on resolving the wider problems within the system.
Shatta Wale subsequently warned that any attempt to arrest him for a third time would not be taken lightly, although he did not provide further details about what he meant by the warning.
He concluded by urging the government and relevant institutions to identify and correct the weaknesses he believes are allowing fraud to persist, rather than allowing the problem to continue.
