Ampem Darkoa Ladies, Edo Queens to resume 2-2 clash in extra time on October 28 or 29 in Egypt

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has scheduled the continuation of the WAFU Zone B qualifying final between Ghana’s Ampem Darkoa Ladies and Nigeria’s Edo Queens for October 28 or 29, 2026, in Egypt.

In a letter to both clubs, CAF confirmed that the match will resume at the start of extra time with the score level at 2-2, following decisions by its Organizing Committee for Women’s Football on September 26 and the Appeal Board on October 16.

The teams will play two 15-minute periods to determine the winner, with a penalty shoot-out to follow if the scores remain level after extra time. CAF has also confirmed that a new set of match officials will oversee the resumed fixture.

The decision follows the annulment of Edo Queens’ 4-1 penalty shoot-out victory after Ampem Darkoa Ladies successfully protested the outcome of the original encounter, which was played on September 5.

The winner of the tie will secure a place in Group B of the main competition, where they will face Moroccan side ASFAR, USFAS Bamako of Mali and Kawempe Muslim Ladies of Uganda.

The main tournament is scheduled to take place in Egypt from November 1 to 15, 2026, leaving both clubs with a crucial contest to settle before the start of the competition.
