Amount George Ruto Spent in Kenyan Shillings to Watch PSG vs Barcelona Champions League Match

George Ruto, son of President William Ruto, attracted attention after sharing photos and videos from the UEFA Champions League match between Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona.

The young Kenyan posted scenes from the stadium on his Instagram Stories, giving followers a glimpse of the high-profile European football fixture. However, he did not publicly disclose how much he paid for his ticket.

Based on the seating position visible in his posts, the ticket may have been in a middle section of the stadium. The resale prices provided for comparable seats ranged from €600 to €850, equivalent to approximately KSh87,000 to KSh124,000.

Other seating categories reportedly carried different prices. Upper-section tickets were listed at around €500, while premium seats near the players’ tunnel and front rows could cost between €1,000 and €1,300.

Using an approximate exchange rate of KSh145 per euro, those figures translate to about KSh72,500 for an upper-section ticket and KSh145,000 to KSh188,500 for the premium seats. These are indicative prices, not confirmation of George’s actual spending.

The final amount could have differed depending on whether he bought a ticket at face value, used a resale platform, purchased a hospitality package or received complimentary access. His photographs alone cannot establish the price he paid.

The match itself provided plenty of entertainment. PSG defeated Barcelona 4-2 in a result that ended the Spanish side’s reported winning run at the start of the 2026/27 season.

George also shared images of the atmosphere inside the stadium, including supporters celebrating and players gathering around the Champions League logo. One of his posts featured Barcelona forward Lamine Yamal, who scored during the match despite his team’s defeat.

Although the posts offered a glimpse into George’s matchday experience, his exact ticket cost remains unknown. The available resale figures provide only a rough estimate of what comparable seats may have cost.
