“With all due respect, put an end to this” – Shatta Wale urges Slim Buster over online outburst

Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has called on veteran musician and dancer, Slim Buster to stop his ongoing online exchanges, insisting he has never disrespected him and has no intention of fighting.

In a Facebook post, Shatta Wale expressed surprise that Slim Buster was allowing internet comments to affect him.

“Slim Buster, please, you know very well that I would never disrespect you. In fact, I am quite shocked at how you are allowing certain things happening on the internet to get to you,” he wrote.

He suggested that whatever Slim Buster may have been told could have prompted the online clashes with fans but stressed that he would not approach the matter with hostility.

“I will never come at you with disrespect or hostility. Instead, I would sincerely plead with you to stop treating me as though I started this whole situation.

“I have no reason to fight you, and I believe we should know better than to allow social media narratives to create unnecessary misunderstandings between us,” Shatta Wale stated.

The “After 40” hitmaker noted that his fans are loyal and would not take kindly to attacks on him, especially since he has not come after Slim Buster.

He advised the older artiste to better understand how the internet works and avoid reacting to every comment.

“With all due respect, please put an end to this and rather take some time to understand how the internet works and how best to handle it. The internet is not an easy place, and not every comment deserves a reaction,” he said.

Shatta Wale described the message as advice from a younger brother to a senior, not an attempt to trend.

In a related development, Slim Buster a few days spoke out against the mockery and disrespect he says he faced when he first joined social media, insisting that veteran musicians must defend their reputations against online criticism.

He said the experience was initially difficult, prompting him to study the profiles of people who trolled him before responding to their comments.

Slim Buster explained that he would check the followers and posts of his critics to understand their online activities and prepare his responses.
