“What B-Red Was Given Was A Cheque Board, Not A Cheque Book”- Content Creator Divine Slams VeryDarkMan
Content creator Divine has criticised social media critic VeryDarkMan over his analysis of the controversy surrounding the cheque presented to Nigerian singer B-Red, arguing that the issue could have been clarified through simple research.
In a statement circulating online, Divine questioned the conclusions drawn by VeryDarkMan and accused many Nigerians of accepting social media claims without properly investigating the facts.
According to Divine, the major point being overlooked in the controversy is the difference between a cheque book and a cheque board.
Divine explained that what B-Red received was allegedly a cheque board, which is commonly used during public presentations and events, rather than a conventional cheque book used for financial transactions.
“A cheque board, which is a large presentation cheque, can display the same serial number as another cheque board because it is a prop made for photographs or public presentations,” Divine stated.
The content creator maintained that understanding this distinction could have prevented the controversy from escalating, insisting that people should verify information before drawing conclusions or applauding claims made online.
Divine also took aim at VeryDarkMan’s approach to the matter, questioning why his analysis was accepted by some social media users without further investigation.
The comments have added another perspective to the ongoing discussion surrounding B-Red and the cheque controversy, with attention now focused on whether the item in question was a presentation prop or a conventional financial instrument.
