“We Are Not Fresh” —Hansi Flick After Barcelona’s Defeat

According to a post on X on Wednesday, October 21, Barcelona coach Hansi Flick commented after Barcelona lost 4-2 to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on October 20.

“It’s not an excuse, but we have to understand that we made mistakes since we are not fresh,” the coach said.

FC Barcelona played Valencia on September 6 and won 5-0. The next three days, they faced Feyenoord in the UEFA Champions League, won them 5-1, and the following four days they played against Levante, winning them 4-2.

Three days after playing against Levante, they faced Racing Santander and were able to score 7 goals against them, and they played Sevilla, winning the club 3-1, the next three days after the Racing Santander game.

The international break contained the following days, during which Barcelona players like Lamine Yamal, Pedri, Dani Olmo, Rodri, and Anthony Gordon played some UEFA Nations League matches.

After the Spanish club resumed club football, they proceeded to play three matches within seven days before playing Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League three days later.

“The effort that the team has had to do in the last couple of weeks has been unbelievable,” Hansi Flick said.
