Country star Trisha Yearwood showed off her noticeably slimmed down figure while attending Best Friends Animal Society’s Annual Benefit Gala in New York City on Monday.

The singer, 62, looked incredible while posing on the red carpet in a fitted black suit and a white button-up shirt that highlighted her weight loss.

Her blonde hair was styled in a chic shoulder-length bob, and she added height to her look with black heels.

The star – who’s married to country hitmaker Garth Brooks, 64 – has candidly spoken about her weight loss journey over the years.

She’s also admitted to trying every diet and doing Zumba as part of her workout routine.

The Daily Mail has reached out to Yearwood’s representative for comment.

Yearwood had reportedly lost 55 pounds by 2017, according to The Sun.

And in 2013 she told People: ‘I don’t think you can name one diet I haven’t done.’

The star revealed that she went from a ‘tight size 14’ to a size 10.

‘I’m that girl who buys every magazine where somebody’s lost 30 lbs,’ she said, adding, ‘I guess a part of me didn’t want to hear that it’s just really hard work!’

Yearwood said she was following a plan that was ‘low-fat, low-sugar 90 percent of the time.’

However, she did allow herself to indulge from time to time.

‘There’s no way you never fall off the wagon.’

As for her Zumba workouts, she explained: ‘I fell in love with it!’

‘I have a strength I never had before. I feel like I can do anything,’ she added.

Those who walked the red carpet at The Glasshouse in New York City were treated to adorable photo opportunities with puppies and kittens from Best Friends Animal Society.

While Yearwood did not do interviews on the carpet, other celebrities who were there to show their support raved about the animal rescue and adoption center.

Sara Haines, also co-host of The View, told the Daily Mail that she is a big advocate of animal rescues since she previously rescued her chihuahuas, Peter and Trixie, who have since passed.

‘What they gave me in life was more than I could ever give them, and just to know there are other Peters and Trixies out there,’ Haines, who hosted Monday’s gala, said. ‘And when I look at animals that need a home, I see their eyes, and so I think just knowing what a beautiful gift, unexpected gift I was given by finding them, I’m like everyone has that story. And so I hope it, I wish it for everyone.’

Meanwhile, Queer Eye star Antoni Porowski told the Daily Mail, ‘I mean, as somebody who is a proud pet parent of a lovely pit rescue mix from the pandemic who never went away, and now co-parenting two lovely cats in our new, very evolving family… I mean pets, I think are everything they teach us so much about ourselves and patience and unconditional love, and I think if more of us kind of like lean into those relationships, the world would be a better place.’

‘So in whatever capacity that I can kind of promote that and getting animals out of shelters and into responsible people’s homes and learning that they are in fact a part of family, they’re not just an accessory, there’s so much more than that, I’m just really happy to be here.’

The annual gala was also attended by Michelle Williams, Famke Janssen, Andrew Lauren and his wife Natascha Schuetz, Dylan Lauren and Lauren Bush Lauren among others.

Yearwood’s appearance at the event comes two years after her former makeup artist accused her husband of sexual assault and battery in court documents filed in a California state court in 2024.

Before the makeup artist filed her lawsuit, Brooks was aware of her allegations and anonymously filed to fight back, using the name ‘John Doe’ in a lawsuit he filed in Mississippi in September, as reported by CNN.

‘Jane Roe’ was originally hired to do hair and makeup for Yearwood in 1999, and Brooks eventually enlisted her to do so for him in 2017, she claimed.

In her lawsuit, the makeup artist alleged that Brooks would send her sexually explicit text messages, tell her about his sexual fantasies – including bringing up threesomes with his wife.

Hours after the makeup artist filed the complaint, Brooks denied the rape accusations against him, calling it a ‘hush money’ shakedown. The legal battle remains ongoing in court.

Brooks and Yearwood have been married since 2005. He has three children with his former wife Sandy Mahl.
