UCL: They were outstanding – Thierry Henry hails four PSG players after Barcelona win

According to a report by Daily Post Nigeria, on Wednesday October 21, 2026, Thierry Henry praised Paris Saint-Germain’s midfield and Achraf Hakimi after the French side beat Barcelona 4–2 in their Champions League match on Tuesday.

PSG’s goals came from Désiré Doué, Lucas Hernández, Vitinha and Fabian Ruiz, while Xavi Espart and Lamine Yamal scored for Barcelona.

The result capped a strong performance from the visitors, who impressed Henry with their control of the game and their ability to maintain their approach despite missing players in wide positions.

Speaking on CBS Sports Golazo, the former Arsenal and Barcelona forward singled out Fabian Ruiz, João Neves and Vitinha for their work in midfield. He said the trio dictated the tempo and helped PSG dominate key areas of the contest.

“Fabian Ruiz, João Neves and Vitinha controlled that game. That midfield was outstanding,” Henry said. He also highlighted Hakimi’s contribution, describing the defender’s display as outstanding.

Henry’s comments focused not only on individual performances but also on PSG’s consistency: despite their absences on the wings, the team continued to play with the same identity against a formidable Barcelona side.

The victory showcased PSG’s depth and the influence of their midfield, while Henry’s praise underscored the importance of both the central trio and Hakimi to the team’s performance.
