Toluwanisings’ Family Fixes Date For Service Of Songs, Appeals For Donations For Widow, Children

According to a report by Vanguard on Wednesday 21 October 2026, the family of late gospel singer Olayemi Bayonle Bolaji, popularly known as Toluwanisings, has announced plans to honour him with a night of tributes and service of songs while calling on Nigerians to support his wife and children.

The memorial programme will take place on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at 3 p.m. at the Hall of Grace, Jogor Centre, Ibadan, Oyo State.

In an announcement shared on the late singer’s social media page, the family invited friends, fellow gospel ministers, fans and well-wishers to gather in remembrance of the singer and celebrate his life and contributions to gospel music.

The statement described the late musician as a beloved brother, friend and minister, urging those who knew him and appreciated his ministry to attend the programme.

The family also appealed to the public to provide financial assistance to his widow and children as they come to terms with his death.

In a separate message titled “A Call for Love and Support,” the family urged Nigerians to extend a helping hand to the bereaved wife during what it described as a difficult period.

“As we mourn the loss of our beloved brother, let us stand with his wife during this difficult season; Every contribution, no matter how small, is a gesture of love and compassion,” the family said.

It provided bank account details through which members of the public could make donations, while offering prayers for everyone willing to support the family.

“Please support her through the account details provided; May God bless every giving heart and grant the family strength and comfort,” the statement added.

Toluwanisings died on October 14, 2026, just hours after performing at a praise concert organised by fellow gospel singer Bidemi Olaoba in Ibadan.

News of his death sparked widespread reactions, with fans and members of the gospel music community expressing shock and mourning his passing.

The incident also generated controversy after the singer’s personal assistant alleged that several hospitals refused to admit him when he needed emergency medical attention; The allegation prompted renewed public concerns about emergency healthcare services in Nigeria.

The forthcoming service of songs is expected to provide an opportunity for relatives, friends, colleagues and admirers to pay their final tributes to the late gospel minister and reflect on his impact through music and ministry.

The family’s appeal for donations also seeks to rally support for his wife and children as they face the challenges of life without him.
