“The Macho Man Who Is Supposed to Protect Us in NPP Is Playing Stick?” — Jennifer Oppong Mocks Bamba

US-based NPP member and political commentator Jennifer Oppong has questioned the conduct of the party’s First Vice Chairman, Kojo Bamba, following his reported threat to take people accusing him of wrongdoing to the gods.

Jennifer Oppong posted her reaction on her official Facebook page on Wednesday, October 21, 2026. In her post, she expressed disbelief over the situation and questioned whether Bamba was acting in a manner expected of someone regarded as a strong figure within the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

“The macho man who is supposed to protect us in NPP is playing stick? Ya wu,” she wrote.

Her comments appear to be a reaction to a statement attributed to Kojo Bamba, in which he threatened to take his accusers to the gods over allegations against him.

“I will take them to the gods to deal with them for accusing me of stealing someone’s phone at Kejetia and making other allegations against me!” Kojo Bamba reportedly stated.

The statement has drawn attention to the way political figures respond to allegations and criticism, particularly when such issues involve questions about their conduct and public image.

Jennifer Oppong’s post suggests that she is dissatisfied with Bamba’s response and believes his approach raises questions about the kind of leadership and protection party members expect from their leaders.

As the NPP continues to deal with internal political discussions and public criticism, the comments have added another dimension to the conversation surrounding the conduct of some of its leading members.

However, the allegations concerning the reported phone theft remain allegations, and the available statements do not establish that Kojo Bamba committed the act. His reported threat to take his accusers to the gods has instead become the focus of Jennifer Oppong’s criticism.

The development highlights the importance of how political leaders handle accusations and disagreements, especially when their responses attract public attention and reactions from within their own party.
