Nearly unrecognizable Alexander Skarsgard unveils bold hair change and daring shorts

LEAVE A COMMENT Alexander Skarsgard is experimenting with his style as he continues his promotional tour for his forthcoming film Wicker.

The actor stepped out for the Los Angeles screening in a daring look that completely transformed his typical clean-cut appearance. Alexander rocked a gray wig that was styled into bouncy curls. For his outfit, he opted for a black zip-up windbreaker with a pair of black shorts accented with a gray print. The look was completed with sneakers and a pair of oversized sunglasses.

Alexander wasn't finished there with infusing his sartorial agenda with a playful touch. For the Los Angeles premiere on October 20, he wore a black long-sleeve T-shirt emblazoned with a picture of his co-star, Olivia Coleman's face. The garment, which was embellished with intricate gems, was styled with a multicolored kilt, black belt, dress shoes, and matching socks.

Meanwhile, Olivia kept things classic with a red button-down shirt tucked into a purple maxi skirt that boasted a mini train.

For the BFI London Film Festival screening Wicker, Alexander slipped on a pair of clear plastic shoes by Saint Laurent in reference to the film's sensual plot. "It was a joke between us to say, 'I don’t understand why men are scared to show their feet,'" Saint Laurent's design director of shoes Corrado De Biase told Women's Wear Daily. "Because there’s a lot of beautiful men that have beautiful feet and like to show it. And that’s why those shoes are called 'O. Fan,' like OnlyFans, because everyone knows that’s the new obsession of gay communities, to show their feet on OnlyFans. So why not celebrate this?"

The Swedish actor stars opposite Olivia Colman and Peter Dinklage in the upcoming comedy-drama, Wicker, which follows a lonely fisherwoman (Colman) who asks the local basketmaker (Dinklage) to build her the perfect man. But the arrival of her wicker husband (Skarsgård) sparks jealousy and outrage in the village.

Directed by Eleanor Wilson and Alex Huston, and adapted from Ursula Wills' acclaimed short story, Wicker is described as an "audacious comedic fable about sex, marriage, and the absurdities of social convention".

The synopsis reads: "When her wicker husband proves more spectacular than she ever imagined, his soulful spirit and unique prowess awaken something inside her, setting off a wave of jealousy, fascination, and upheaval that threatens the very fabric of village life."
