Mustapha Gbande: No Boss of Mine Can Accuse Me of Corruption, Challenges Miracles Aboagye

Mustapha Gbande, the Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has declared that none of his superiors from the NDC Headquarters to the Jubilee House can accuse him of corruption, while challenging Ghanaians to weigh his record against that of Dennis Miracles Aboagye. His remarks, reported by StarrFM, escalate the ongoing public feud between the two political communicators.

Mr. Gbande expressed pride in his service record, stating that throughout his time serving the NDC and his appointment at the Jubilee House, no superior has ever accused him of corrupt conduct. He presented this as evidence of his integrity and commitment to ethical public service, drawing a stark contrast with his accuser.

The NDC deputy scribe then posed a pointed question to the public, asking: “Between Dennis Miracles Aboagye and me, whom should Ghanaians be afraid to allow near the corridors of power?” The rhetorical challenge is designed to shift scrutiny onto Mr. Aboagye, whom Mr. Gbande has previously accused of dismissal as a District Chief Executive, taking campaign funds during the 2024 general elections, and being under investigation for alleged financial misappropriation.

The exchange reflects the increasingly personal nature of political discourse between the NDC and the governing party, with both sides trading allegations of corruption and misconduct. Mr. Gbande’s framing invites the public to make a judgment about character and trustworthiness, positioning himself as the cleaner candidate for public trust.

As the war of words continues, the burden will fall on both sides to substantiate their claims or face public skepticism. Mr. Gbande’s challenge has raised the stakes in the dispute, and observers will be watching to see whether it prompts a substantive response or a further escalation of accusations between the two figures.
