Kvaratskhelia Out for the Season as He and Dembélé Suffer Injuries
According to a post on X on Wednesday, October 21, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Ousmane Dembélé have received injury updates after their match against Barcelona in the Champions League on October 20.
Dembélé was subbed off around the 20th minute of the match against Barcelona, as was the Georgian footballer around the 59th minute—these substitutions were due to the injuries sustained by both players during the match.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia tore his ACL and will be out for the 2026/27 season—PSG confirmed that the winger will now undergo surgery. Dembélé suffered a thigh injury, and he is set to remain in care for the next few weeks.
Kvaratskhelia and Ousmane have significantly supported PSG this season:
So far, the winger is a joint top-two goalscorer and assist provider, and sits eighth in the FotMob ratings (7.19). Dembélé sits in the same position in the FotMob ratings as the Georgian—he is the player with the most assists for Paris Saint-Germain and a joint top-three goalscorer so far. (According to FotMob).
The two have also supported the Ligue 1 club in terms of dribbling past players, as several sources have both of them with up to 8 successful dribbles so far this season.
