Hopeson Adorye Claims NPP Allowed Denis Miracle Aboagye Unopposed Run Over Impending Jail Term

According to recent reports, Political figure Hopeson Adorye has sparked intense political debate after alleging that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) deliberately permitted prominent party communicator Denis Miracle Aboagye to contest unopposed because they anticipate he will face a prison sentence.

Speaking on the circumstances surrounding Aboagye’s unchallenged status in his leadership contest, Adorye argued that the decision was not rooted in unanimous backing or confidence from party delegates. Instead, he claimed that internal figures backed off from challenging Aboagye due to his potential legal troubles and impending criminal liability.

“NPP knows Denis Miracle Aboagye will go to jail; that’s why they allowed him to go unopposed,” Adorye asserted.

Denis Miracle Aboagye is a widely recognized NPP communicator and commentator who frequently defends the party on national governance and policy issues. His prominent public profile has made him a frequent target for rival political factions.

Despite Adorye’s bold declarations, his claims remain unsubstantiated allegations. No official documentation or concrete evidence was presented to support the assertion that Aboagye faces an imminent criminal conviction or that legal calculations influenced the party’s internal electoral dynamics. Neither Aboagye nor the NPP leadership has formally validated these claims.

Nevertheless, Adorye’s provocative remarks are expected to ignite fierce debate within political circles regarding internal democratic processes, candidate selection, and personal rivalries in Ghanaian politics. As public interest grows, political analysts expect official responses from both the NPP leadership and Aboagye to clarify the situation surrounding his unopposed candidacy.
