England-Ghanaian wonderkid Grandel Boateng gets first Belgium U16 national team call-up ahead of the November window
The evergreen wonderkid of Ghanaian heritage has been handed his maiden invitation to the Young Red Devils by the Belgium football governing body ahead of the upcoming FIFA international window
The Royal Belgian Football Association (RBFA) has handed England-Ghanaian wonderkid Grandel Boateng his first international call-up to the Belgium U16 national youth team for the 2026 November window.
The 14-year-old winger, who is currently starring for Championship side Birmingham City U18, is set to make his debut with the European giants at the international level after featuring for the England U15 national youth team in 2025.
Boateng currently holds the record as the youngest-ever player to play for the Blues U18s in the English U18 Premier League at the age of 14 years and 99 days old, surpassing the records previously held by England and Real Madrid mercurial attacking midfielder Jude Bellingham and goalkeeper Alfie Smith.
He is likely to make his maiden appearance with the Belgium U16 when they come up against Luxembourg U16 in a friendly next month.
With his glaring potential and dazzling talent as an upcoming and young budding star, the evergreen prodigy could still become a cornerstone for the Ghana national team at the senior level in the near future.
