Deepika, Ranveer Reveal 2nd Daughter’s Name; Bipasha Basu Quips About Using The Name Devi

The two, taking the occasion of Dussehra to celebrate her birth, announced that Dua’s younger sister was called Devi Padukone Singh. Now, Bipasha Basu has revealed just how attached the actress had been to the name.

In a recent post shared by Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh on the occasion of Dussehra, the couple gave fans a glimpse of their growing family. In it, the two of them were sitting on the floor with traditional outfits. Dua sat atop Ranveer’s lap, leaning over the newborn Devi, who was in Deepika’s arms. The post itself was captioned, “Of Love and Abundance. Devi Singh Padukone,” with evil eye emojis.

Various celebrities commented on her post, but it was Bipasha Basu’s that really caught the eye. “So you were really serious when you told me you love the name Devi.”

For those unaware, Bipasha Basu and her husband, Karan Singh Grover, share a daughter together, who also has the name Devi. As per the way she quipped, Deepika may have spoken to the Dhoom 2 actress her about liking of the name and seeing that both their daughters share it, the speculation may as well be true.

Deepika and Ranveer welcomed their second daughter on September 19 and the actress had been out of the limelight since then, until now. The actor made a few public appearances, with the latest being him buying a new car.

Both the parents are working on their individual projects, although they have naturally taken breaks from the same at the moment. Deepika is working on Raaka with Allu Arjun and King with Shah Rukh Khan. Ranveer is working on a zombie thriller with Kalyani Priyadarshan after his booming success with Dhurandhar and Dhurandhar: The Revenge.
