Chrissy Metz, 46, wows in slinky dress as she highlights 60lbs weight loss on red carpet
LEAVE A COMMENT This Is Us star Chrissy Metz stole the show on October 20, 2026, as she arrived on the red carpet for her new Apple TV drama Nocturne.
Chrissy lost 63lbs in the firtst 5 months on GLP-1
The 46-year-old looked stunning in an olive-green velvet dress with puff sleeves and metallic open-toed shoes.
Posing alongside her co-stars, Liev Schreiber, Zazie Beetz, and Stephen Graham, the actress stood out in the perfect autumnal dress that highlighted her changing figure.
Nocturne follows Jonah (played by Liev), an ex-soldier turned homicide detective who moves to a small town in western Pennsylvania for a quiet life.
But as the town and his family come under attack from notorious serial killer Jurek Walter (played by Adolescence’s Stephen Graham) – a man presumed to be dead – Jonah is forced to send his surrogate daughter, FBI Agent Saga Bauer (Zazie), undercover to get the answers they need.
The actress has turned her sights on Broadway
Chrissy stars as Ida, a recurring character whose role develops by the latter half.
The actress found fame on the NBC drama This Is Us and starred in The Hunting Wives on Netflix. She has also appeared, mostly recently, on Broadway and after wrapping her run in & Juliet revealed that she turned to GLP-1 medication to improve her lifestyle.
Chrissy revealed she had become more mobile
“It’s been helping me be more mobile and have less joint pain and inflammation, and run around onstage, and just do things that would have been much more difficult several pounds and inches ago,” the actress revealed, sharing that she had lost 63lbs in the first months of starting the drug.
GLP-1s helped to quiet the food noise in her brain
Admitting she was hesitant at first, Chrissy revealed that the biggest change was the drug quieting the food noise in her brain.
Food noise is a term for constant, unwanted, and intrusive thoughts about food that happen even when you are not physically hungry.
Chrissy, pictured in This Is Us, had pushback from fans who had seen her as an inspiration
“People are going to criticize you no matter what you do, no matter what you say, how you dress, what you look like – thin, overweight, mid-size, whatever,” she told Us Weekly, sharing that she had received pushback from fans who had seen her as an inspiration.
She had previously advocated for authentic plus-size representation in film and TV, and had spoken candidly about finding self-acceptance. Over the years Chrissy had also spoke out for other plus-size women and the barriers they often face in the workplace and in fashion, as well as in the world of dating.
'We're not taught to love ourselves or be our own cheerleaders'
“The truth is, I don’t find my value in my body or my weight. It’s really more about who I am and what I can offer as a human being to the people in my life and the people in the world. I know that sounds corny. And I know you’ve heard it before. But it’s really true: We’re so much more than our bodies,” she wrote in 2016.
“Its a big issue particularly for us plus-size ladies and for anyone dealing with weight, because we’re not taught to love ourselves or be our own cheerleaders.”
