What to do when you have too many frequent flyer miles
You might think having too many frequent flyer points would never be a problem. For many business owners and high spenders, however, it’s a very real scenario. There are only so many flights you can take every year. Even if you’re already booking the highest cabin every time, you might still accrue more points than you can redeem.
So what can you do? Spending points on family members is nice. Qantas and Velocity make this simple with flights and upgrades (mum, you’re welcome). Qatar Airways Privilege Club and Singapore Airlines’ KrisFlyer also allow point sharing, but you’ll need to nominate a handful of contacts in advance and changing your hot list is restrictive.
