Sub-National Polio Vaccination Campaign from Nov 2–8

ISLAMABAD  –  The National Emergency Opera­tions Centre (EOC) will conduct a Sub-National Polio Vaccination Campaign from November 2 to 8 in 97 selected districts across Pa­kistan, targeting more than 23.9 million children under five.

Frontline polio workers will vis­it households door-to-door to ad­minister two drops of the polio vaccine to every eligible child.

The campaign will cover 13 dis­tricts in Punjab, 20 in Sindh, 27 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 31 in Ba­lochistan, three in Gilgit-Baltis­tan, two in Azad Jammu and Kash­mir, and Islamabad. Authorities have urged parents to fully coop­erate with vaccination teams and ensure that every child under five receives polio drops to help eradi­cate polio from the country.
