PSL Confirms Full Carling Knockout Cup Last 16 Fixture List for October 24

The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has officially released the complete schedule for the Last 16 of the Carling Knockout Cup, setting the stage for an exciting contest as South Africa’s leading football clubs compete for places in the quarter-finals.

The knockout competition is scheduled to commence on Saturday, October 24, 2026, with participating teams preparing for crucial encounters that could determine their chances of winning the domestic trophy.

The Carling Knockout Cup remains an important competition in South African football, giving clubs an additional opportunity to secure silverware alongside their league ambitions. Unlike league matches, where teams have several opportunities to recover from disappointing results, the knockout format leaves little room for mistakes. A single loss means elimination from the tournament.

With the fixtures now confirmed, coaches and players will concentrate on preparing for their respective opponents. Teams will need to combine defensive organisation with effective attacking play to improve their chances of progressing to the next round.

The Last 16 phase represents a significant point in the competition, as clubs move closer to the ultimate prize. Reaching the quarter-finals would strengthen their ambitions and provide additional motivation for the remainder of the season.

Squad depth could also influence the outcome of several matches, particularly for teams balancing cup commitments with their domestic league responsibilities. Coaches may have to make important decisions regarding player selection, fitness and tactical approaches to ensure their teams remain competitive.

Football supporters will be keen to see how the participating clubs perform, especially those with a strong history of competing for domestic honours. The tournament also offers an opportunity for emerging talents to demonstrate their abilities and establish themselves alongside experienced first-team players.

The confirmation of the fixture schedule allows clubs to complete their preparations while supporters make arrangements to follow the matches. Attention will increasingly focus on team news, player availability and the strategies each side adopts.
