PHOTOS: Gachagua Allegedly Arrives In Kenya, Ally Shares Photos Of His Return To Wamunyoro Home
Dr. Peter Mbae, a close ally of former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, has shared photos claiming that the DCP leader has returned to Kenya and arrived at his Wamunyoro residence in Mathira, Nyeri County.
Mbae, who serves as the Democracy for Citizens Party’s Secretary for Planning and Economic Affairs, posted the images on Facebook. The photos show a man in a brown jacket and khaki trousers walking across a green lawn while talking on his mobile phone.
Behind him is the familiar white sign bearing the words “I Love Wamunyoro.” The property is surrounded by trees and well-maintained grass. The images appear to have been taken outdoors under clear blue skies.
In his caption, Mbae wrote: “RiggyG arrives in his Wamunyoro residence after jetting back to the country. Sasa mteremko WANTAM hadi 10th August 2027.”
The message immediately linked the alleged return to the political campaigns expected ahead of the 2027 General Election. The WANTAM slogan has remained central to Gachagua’s political messaging as he continues positioning himself against President William Ruto’s administration.
However, the reported arrival has not been independently confirmed. Neither an official statement from Gachagua nor independent verification was available at the time of reporting.
The former Deputy President had recently been associated with an extended tour of the United States. During that period, references to a property he calls Wamunyoro Texas also attracted attention among his supporters.
His Wamunyoro residence in Nyeri has become an important political meeting point since his impeachment in October 2024. The home has hosted visitors and delegations as Gachagua continues building his political movement through the DCP party.
Mbae’s post has now placed the residence back in the spotlight, with the shared images raising questions about Gachagua’s whereabouts and whether his reported return could mark the beginning of fresh political engagements.
