No new security service recruitment in 2027 – Muntaka

The Minister for the Interior, Mohammed Muntaka Mubarak, has announced that the government will not open applications for fresh recruitment into the various security services in 2027, as authorities focus on clearing the existing backlog of qualified applicants awaiting enlistment.The minister said the decision was taken in accordance with instructions from President John Dramani Mahama, adding that the government intends to prioritise applicants who have already completed the recruitment process and met the necessary requirements but could not be admitted for training because of limited space.
