The discussion gained momentum after MaWhoo revealed that her partner had bought her three houses outright, emphasising that the properties were not rentals.
Her revelation attracted attention online, with fans discussing her relationship and the significance of the gesture. The singer’s comments quickly became a talking point, setting the stage for further speculation across social media.
Cyan Boujee later shared pointed messages on social media that many observers interpreted as possible shade directed at someone involved in the conversation.
One of the messages read, “My name alone will ruin a b*tch whole day,” while another appeared to aim at a man trying to prove his loyalty.
The posts fuelled speculation about whether the DJ and MaWhoo were indirectly exchanging jabs. However, neither woman explicitly confirmed that the messages were directed at the other.

The speculation also brought renewed attention to past online rumours linking both women to Ekurhuleni City Manager Kagiso Lerutla.
However, neither MaWhoo nor Cyan explicitly named him in the posts at the centre of the latest discussion. The alleged connection remains unconfirmed, and the identity of the romantic interest behind the speculation has not been established.
Meanwhile, MaWhoo’s sister, Amahle, reportedly joined the conversation in the comments section, adding another layer to the online back-and-forth.
Her involvement further fuelled reactions from social media users following the exchange, with screenshots and interpretations of the posts continuing to circulate.

As the posts gained traction, users weighed in on the possibility of tension between the two personalities. Some interpreted the messages as indirect shots, while others viewed the situation as another example of how cryptic posts from South African celebrities can spark widespread speculation.
Neither woman has publicly confirmed that the exchange was about the same romantic interest, leaving the alleged feud open to interpretation.
For now, what began with MaWhoo’s comments about her partner’s property purchases has evolved into a wider conversation about relationships, independence and social media drama in the South African entertainment scene.
The guy who went from MaWhoo to Cyan Boujee clearly has a type. https://t.co/zJzDCEupVs
“He bought me three homes in cash.” Didn’t she say in her interviews that she bought those houses herself? If it’s true that a man bought them for her, then ay shuthi uyasazi ke story sakhe. 😂 https://t.co/jpbpmk31xV
