MacG Spotted at MySol’s Farm as Businessman Congratulates Him on Chillers Lager Amid Legal Drama

Podcast host MacG was seen at MySol’s Farm over the weekend, where businessman Solomon “MySol” Madibela publicly congratulated him on the launch of Chillers Lager. The moment comes amid ongoing legal tensions between the two men linked to recent podcast episodes.

In a video shared online, MacG stands on stage next to MySol. The mining businessman holds a microphone and addresses the crowd while MacG listens and smiles. At one point MacG places a hand on his chest and later claps as MySol speaks positively about the new beer. The setting appears to be a casual event at the farm, with drinks visible and a stage banner in the background.

Chillers Lager is MacG’s own beer brand. He launched it in South Africa earlier this month after struggling to find a local brewery willing to produce it. MacG has said South African breweries turned him down because of what he calls the “beer mafia” — the strong control big beer companies have over the industry. He eventually partnered with a brewery in Namibia, and the bottles clearly state that they are produced there.

The warm public appearance is surprising because of recent legal drama. On 8 October, MySol obtained a court interdict that stopped MacG and guest Benjy Maponya from airing or sharing certain claims made on Podcast and Chill. Benjy had alleged that MySol cut him out of a large mining deal and made other serious accusations. MySol has since taken further legal steps, including contempt of court proceedings, and has warned that he is still pursuing the matter. The two men even appeared together on the podcast days ago, where MySol made it clear the legal fight was not over.

Despite the court papers and public disagreement, MySol chose to congratulate MacG in front of an audience at his own farm. For many fans of the podcast, the clip shows that business and personal relations in Mzansi can stay complicated even when people appear friendly in public. The video has already started circulating on social media, with people noting the contrast between the legal battle and the positive moment on stage.

MacG has not yet issued a formal statement about the farm appearance, but the footage makes one thing clear: Chillers Lager is receiving support from unexpected places, even while the legal issues continue.
