Kempton Park Killing: Nigerian Man Breaks Down as Heartbreaking Details About His Child Emerge

A Nigerian man linked to the investigation into the killing of Kempton Park runner Elizabeth “Tsontso” Moselakgomo reportedly broke down in tears during court proceedings after details emerged about his young child’s situation following his arrest.

Kenneth Chibuzor, one of three men accused of handling and allegedly reselling a Garmin smartwatch belonging to the murdered runner, became emotional when the court heard that his minor child had been staying with a friend since his detention.

The emotional moment unfolded as the three accused appeared in connection with allegations involving property believed to have belonged to Moselakgomo. Her tragic death has drawn attention to concerns about public safety and the ongoing efforts to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.

According to information presented during the proceedings, Chibuzor remains in custody while the legal process continues. His formal bail application has been postponed to 27 October, meaning he will remain behind bars until his next court appearance, unless the situation changes.

His two co-accused have already secured their release on bail of R10,000 each. They will remain outside custody while the case continues through the courts.

The matter involving all three men has been postponed until 9 December to give investigators additional time to collect evidence and establish the circumstances surrounding the alleged handling and resale of the smartwatch.

Although the device is reportedly linked to Moselakgomo, it is important to note that the three men have not been charged with her murder. Their current case concerns allegations relating to her property, rather than direct involvement in the killing.

The emotional courtroom development has added another dimension to the proceedings, particularly following the revelations about Chibuzor’s child and the reported arrangements made for the youngster after his arrest.

However, the allegations against the three accused have yet to be proven in court. All three remain presumed innocent unless found guilty through the judicial process.

The next significant development is expected on 27 October, when Chibuzor’s bail application is due to be considered. The court will determine whether he can be released under conditions while the case proceeds.

Meanwhile, investigators continue working to establish the full circumstances surrounding Moselakgomo’s death. Questions surrounding the movement of her smartwatch and the events leading to the tragedy remain central to the broader investigation.

For now, the three accused await their next court appearance as the legal proceedings continue and authorities pursue answers in the case involving the murdered runner.
