Inside Gachagua’s Cosy Living Room Where He Held Closed-Door Meeting With Sifuna And Methu
Former DP Rigathi Gachagua has offered Kenyans a glimpse inside his Wamunyoro residence after hosting Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna and Nyandarua Senator John Methu for a closed-door meeting.
Photographs shared by Gachagua showed the three leaders seated in his living room, appearing relaxed as they engaged in conversation.
The images offered a rare look at the home setting where the political discussions took place, although the leaders did not publicly disclose the full agenda of their meeting.
Gachagua welcomed the visitors through a social media post, describing them as his cousins from the Linda Mwananchi movement.
“Welcome to Wamunyoro residence my cousins from Linda Mwananchi. When we come together great things must happen,” he wrote.
The meeting marked Gachagua’s first engagement at Wamunyoro in nearly two months, while he was in US.
It also came amid political discussions surrounding Linda Mwananchi and the relationship between its leading figures.
While in the United States, Gachagua said he had contacted Sifuna and Embakasi East MP Babu Owino following disagreements involving their supporters.
He claimed that the tensions risked weakening the movement and alleged that the National Intelligence Service was behind efforts to divide the group.
Gachagua also said he had asked Methu, the DCP’s secretary-general designate, to join the discussions so they could engage their supporters and address the disagreements.
He further claimed that the Linda Mwananchi rally at Jacaranda Grounds had unsettled President William Ruto’s administration, alleging that attempts were being made to divide the movement along tribal lines.
The Wamunyoro meeting brought the leaders together amid these concerns, but its specific outcomes remained undisclosed.
