“I Have Three Children With Him, But Never Saw His M@nhood” –Woman Tells Oyerepa Afutuo on Live Show

According to a Post by Ghanaweb on Saturday, Oct 17, 2026, a 13-year marriage has ended in controversy after Abena Asantewaa, a mother of three from Dunka in the Ashanti Region, appeared on Oyerepa Afutuo to demand GH¢300,000 from her former husband, Emmanuel Amuzu, an elder of The Church of Pentecost.

During the October 16, 2026, episode of the dispute-resolution programme on Oyerepa TV, Asantewaa explained that she wanted her former husband to refund the money she claimed to have spent on items listed by her family as marriage requirements.

According to her, Amuzu was constructing a house when they were preparing for their wedding and told her he could not afford the required items. She alleged that he asked her to purchase them, promising to pay her back later.

However, she claimed that the repayment never happened. She also accused him of failing to account for some money received during their wedding ceremony.

Asantewaa further described their marriage as unhappy, alleging that they experienced serious communication difficulties and intimacy problems throughout their years together.

She made additional claims about their sexual relationship, saying she felt uncomfortable and distressed during some intimate encounters. She also expressed surprise that, despite spending 13 years together and having three children, she had never seen her husband’s private parts.

The woman further alleged that a church elder advised her to exercise patience with her husband, whom she described as being regarded as a holy man. She also claimed that an attempt to address their intimacy issues through an adult film did not resolve the situation.

Asantewaa disclosed that they had separated and alleged that her former husband had married her best friend. She added that she had entered another relationship.

Despite moving on, she maintained that Amuzu must refund the GH¢300,000 she claimed to have spent. However, when contacted during the programme, Amuzu denied owing her the money.
