I Got My Wife A New Car After My Leaked Video Nearly Ended My Marriage—Oteele

Kumawood actor Oteele has disclosed that he gave his wife, Gifty Nana Afriyie, a Toyota RAV4 after a leaked intimate video involving him and another woman threatened to bring their marriage to an end.

In an interview with media personality Nayaas, the actor explained that the controversy deeply affected his wife, who reportedly left their matrimonial home after the video became public and decided to end their relationship.

Oteele said he later approached some elderly individuals to intervene in the matter and appeal to his wife to reconsider her decision.

According to the actor, their efforts helped restore the relationship, as his wife reflected on their years together and the challenges they had overcome throughout their marriage.

He noted that she eventually accepted his explanation, recognised the incident as a mistake and agreed to forgive him.

The actor further revealed that he owned two vehicles at the time: a Toyota Voxy and a 2014 Toyota RAV4. Following their reconciliation, he decided to give his wife the RAV4 as a gesture of compensation.

Meanwhile, Gifty Afriyie has spoken about the emotional pain she experienced after learning about her husband’s involvement with another woman.

She explained that the situation was especially difficult because of the struggles they had faced together before reaching their current stage in life.

Recalling some of their challenging experiences, Gifty said there were periods when they had nowhere to sleep and had to depend on friends for accommodation. She also indicated that they had endured times when they slept outdoors.

She said these shared hardships made the incident more painful, given the sacrifices and difficulties they had faced as a couple.

Despite her disappointment, Gifty eventually decided to forgive Oteele and continue their marriage.

However, she suggested that her decision could have been different if her husband had failed to demonstrate remorse after the incident.

She made a stark remark that, had he continued living with her without showing regret, she might have become so angry that she would have considered poisoning him.

Her comments highlight the intensity of the hurt she experienced and the role her husband’s apparent remorse played in her decision to give their marriage another chance.
