Barcelona Midfield Ace Hits 100 Appearances for Club Against PSG
According to a report by Barca Universal on Tuesday October 20, 2026, Dani Olmo reached a significant milestone in his Barcelona career by making his 100th official appearance for the club during their UEFA Champions League encounter against Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday.
The Spanish midfielder was included in Hansi Flickâs starting lineup for the highly anticipated European fixture.
The achievement makes Olmo the latest Barcelona player to reach a century of appearances, following Gerard Martin, who celebrated the same milestone against Getafe just days earlier.
Olmo returned to his boyhood club in the summer of 2024 after leaving RB Leipzig. He previously departed Barcelona during his youth career to join Dinamo Zagreb before establishing himself as a professional footballer.
The 28-year-old has accumulated 39 appearances during the 2024/25 campaign, followed by 49 outings last season. He has made 12 appearances so far in the 2026/27 season, including all three of Barcelonaâs Champions League matches before the PSG encounter.
His record across competitions includes 67 La Liga appearances and 18 goals. He has also registered three goals in 21 Champions League matches, alongside eight Copa del Rey appearances and three Spanish Super Cup outings.
Olmoâs versatility has been crucial to his importance under Flick. Despite facing competition from Fermin Lopez for a regular starting position, he has demonstrated his ability to operate in central midfield, attacking midfield and centre-forward roles.
His Barcelona journey began on August 27, 2024, when he came off the bench against Rayo Vallecano. He marked his debut by scoring the winning goal in a 2-1 victory.
Registration problems caused by financial restrictions prevented him from featuring in Barcelonaâs opening two league matches that season. He subsequently scored against Real Valladolid and Girona before suffering a muscle injury.
Olmo finished his first campaign with 12 goals, including 10 in La Liga and two in the Champions League. He added eight goals the following season, comprising seven league strikes and one European goal.
The midfielder ended a seven-month scoring drought with a spectacular finish against Real Betis last weekend. He has won two La Liga titles, one Copa del Rey and two Spanish Super Cups with Barcelona.
