You Can Watch the Newest ‘GTA VI’ Trailer One Month Before the Game’s Release

New ‘GTA VI’ Trailer Includes Even More Cool CarsRockstar GamesAfter some long delays, the launch of the next Grand Theft Auto video game is finally within sight.

A new trailer doesn't reveal much of the story, but there are a few new in-game cars to check out.

Just how popular is this game going to be? Nearly 50 million people have already watched this latest trailer.

Mark it on your calendars: November 19, 2026, is the day the world called in sick. Seems odd to think a video game could potentially cause a dip in the globe's GDP, but the sixth iteration of the Grand Theft Auto series is easily one of the most hotly anticipated gaming releases in recent memory. Now, we're just one month away.

Grand Theft Auto VI has been in development for over a decade and has frustrated would-be players with a couple of significant delays. The previous game debuted in 2013, so a sixth entrant in the series has been taking its sweet time coming. In a slightly shorter window of time, the Fast and Furious franchise has managed 10 feature movies and a spin-off. Of course, building out a game of epic scale is a more difficult task than just pointing a video camera at Vin Diesel and telling him to growl "family," a dozen times.

The Grand Theft Auto launch trailer dropped late last week, and there's plenty of wheeled content packed into it to enjoy. Famously, the game doesn't use real-life vehicle nameplates, but the in-game cars are closely modeled on actual cars you'll see in traffic. Just, in this case, flying over helicopters and whatnot.

The latest trailer kicks off with a spiderweb-painted green lowrider of some description, probably an Impala clone, then cuts to an iguana scuttling away from an R33 Nissan Skyline. Next, a character leaps from a Ford Ranger onto the landing gear of an aircraft—driving around airports in a questionable manner has long been a GTA mainstay.

We then get a close-up of the game's two protagonists, Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, leaning up on a modified Chevy Camaro. The game is set in Florida, in the fictional Vice City, and you'll be able to play out plenty of Bonnie-and-Clyde action with this pair of virtual ne'er-do-wells.

This is followed by a lime-green Bugatti Veyron (or similar) being chased by a couple of Vice City's finest. Looks like the police cars in the game will be based on the Ford Explorer and Taurus Interceptors… expect to be seeing a lot of them.

Dirt bike jump, helicopter crash, biplane at the beach; Grand Theft Auto always crams in plenty of inventive missions for players to complete, and it looks like you'll also need to participate in some underground street racing. A clip shows a pack of supercars speeding through the night, one of them a yellow Lamborghini Diablo.

It all looks like tremendous fun, especially as in Grand Theft Auto, there are no real-world criminal consequences for causing a police chase that's the size of the one at the end of The Blues Brothers. Try that in your Nissan Altima; they're gonna throw the book at you.

So, get ready, gamers, the countdown is on until Grand Theft Auto VI is ruining your productivity. Everybody else, mark down November 19th as a good day to go for a long drive. There'll be plenty of people sitting on their couches, glued to their PlayStation, rather than on the roads."
