Woman found shot in drive-thru of Georgia McDonald’s; husband arrested
A woman suffering from multiple gunshot wounds pulled into a McDonald’s drive-thru in Georgia after she was shot in what investigators described as a domestic dispute, authorities said.
Newton County sheriff’s deputies found 26-year-old Davienne Trejo of Lakeland, Florida, at the restaurant on Salem Road after responding around 1 a.m. Saturday. Investigators believe the shooting occurred before she arrived there.
Trejo was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Authorities did not release details about her condition.
Deputies arrested Trejo’s husband, 25-year-old Yovani Lopez-Esquivel of Covington.
He is charged with aggravated assault involving family violence, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, false imprisonment and making terroristic threats involving family violence.
