Todayโ€™s Headlines: Tell Nigerians Begging you for Money No โ€” Obi; Jonathan Unveils Tricycle Factory, Products, Others in Abuja October 21

The presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) for the 2027 election, Peter Obi, has urged his supporters in the United Kingdom to stop giving money to people begging for financial assistance back home in Nigeria, as he called for a change in the countryโ€™s political leadership.

Obi made the controversial appeal during a town hall meeting with his supporters in the UK on Sunday, where he challenged Nigerians to support leaders with proven records of financial discipline rather than continue tolerating corruption.

โ€œYou have people at home in Nigeria today who are begging you for money. Tell them no!โ€ Obi declared.

Former President Goodluck Jonathan is billed to unveil a tricycle factory and products in Abuja, on Wednesday, October 21.

The factory, Zeetin Technologies, located in Idu Industrial Area, assembles and also distributes the VZ150 and VZ200 tricycles in Nigeria.

The statement signed by the companyโ€™s Chairman, Mr Robert Azibaola, disclosed that Zeetin for Nigerians, is a promise that everything the company builds is built for the success of the person who buys the brand.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio denied on Monday that there had been any suspension of intelligence sharing with Ukraine and called on President Volodymyr Zelensky to โ€œfocusโ€ on ending the war with Russia.

โ€œThere has been no pause,โ€ Rubio told reporters when asked about Ukraineโ€™s claims that the United States had briefly halted the sending of intelligence to help counter Russiaโ€™s missile attacks.

The Ukrainian leader told US media on Sunday that the move had been โ€œdeblocked by the American sideโ€ after a three-day suspension.

Rubio, who is in Uzbekistan for talks with Central Asian officials, said that President Donald Trump wanted Zelensky and Russiaโ€™s President Vladimir Putin to concentrate on ending the Russian invasion, now into its fifth year.
