Today October 19 Cedi Gains Small Agains Dollar As BoG Drops New Rates For Monday

Do you know that our cedi is now gaining small against dollar? Bank of Ghana has drop new rate that shows our cedi is performing well.

According to a report by GhanaWeb on Monday October 19 2026 this morning, Bank of Ghana has released fresh exchange rates for today.

Per the new BoG rates for today Monday October 19 2026, dollar is buying at GH¢11.6592 and selling at GH¢11.6708. Last week average was GH¢11.78.

This morning rates show cedi gained small against dollar, pound and euro.

Pound for today is buying at GH¢15.5370 and selling at GH¢15.5537. Euro is GH¢13.0904 buying.

BoG says this gain for today is because of better confidence and more money coming from abroad this quarter.

Forex bureaus in Accra say demand for dollar was low this morning compared to last week.

BoG Governor recently said cedi recovery is due to gold and cocoa export money and stronger reserves.

We pray that our cedi should rise against the dollar.

For today many traders are watching if the rate will stay like this till evening.
