The facility, announced by Rigworld Group Chief Executive Officer Dr Kofi Amoa-Abban, is expected to be officially inaugurated in November 2026.

The training centre is designed to expand access to industry-standard safety training for oil and gas professionals, equipping workers with the knowledge and practical skills required to operate safely in challenging and potentially hazardous environments.

The project was completed in collaboration with Rigworld’s local partner, ARSTM, as part of efforts to strengthen professional training and safety standards within the African energy sector.

Bongo Ideas’ post brings attention to the development, which could contribute to the growth of technical expertise and improve access to specialised training for professionals working in the oil and gas industry across the continent.

Established in 2011, Rigworld Group has expanded its operations across several African countries, including Ghana, Côte d’Ivoire, Senegal, Angola, South Africa, Namibia and Mozambique.

Through its specialised subsidiaries, the company provides a range of services covering technical support, logistics, workforce solutions and safety training for the energy and industrial sectors.

The completion of the facility marks another development in Rigworld’s expansion across Africa, particularly in the area of safety training for the oil and gas industry.

With its inauguration scheduled for November 2026, the centre is expected to play a role in developing industry-ready personnel and supporting the demand for specialised safety skills as oil and gas activities continue across the continent.
