President Mahama announces GH¢400million for land reclamation and environmental protection

President John Dramani Mahama has announced two separate allocations of GH¢200 million each in the 2027 Budget, bringing the total to GH¢400 million for land reclamation and environmental protection.The first allocation will reclaim 5,000 acres of land degraded by illegal mining, popularly known as galamsey, while the second will support the Environmental Protection Agency and the Blue Water Guards.
