PLU suspends Frank Gashumba over Shs500m pastors’ miracle challenge

The Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) has suspended Frank Gashumba with immediate effect pending an investigation into his controversial remarks about Balokole and Pentecostal churches, following a public dispute in which he challenged pastors claiming miraculous healing powers to prove their abilities in hospitals.The suspension was communicated in a letter dated October 19, 2026, signed by PLU National Vice Chairman Michael Kaguta Toyota and addressed to Gashumba.
