Michael Irvin Admits He Would’ve Reacted Differently Than Troy Aikman Did When Cowboys Quarterback Found Two Random Women Swimming In His Pool

The Dallas Cowboys have some pretty wild stories from their 1990s NFL dynasty, winning three Super Bowls and making all sorts of headlines off of the field.

Troy Aikman recently told one of those epic stories.

The Dallas Cowboys legend appeared on a podcast with Dale Brisby and revealed that, during the peak of his NFL stardom, he was single. One night, he came home to his house and found two random women swimming in his pool.

“I was single,” he recalled in a recent podcast. “I was living by myself at my house, and I came home and I had two fans, two female fans, that were swimming in my pool in my backyard…I called the police and just said, ‘Hey, I’ve got some intruders and somebody could come take care of this.’”

Aikman spoke to his teammate, Michael Irvin, about what happened. The Hall of Fame wide receiver told his quarterback that he would’ve reacted much differently.

“[Michael] Irvin laughs. He said the police would have been the last people he was calling, which is a pretty good indication of Michael and I being a little different.”

Troy Aikman says he came home to two female fans swimming in his pool and called the cops, but Michael Irvin said the cops would’ve been his last call “I came home. I was single. Few stories can better represent the 1990s Cowboys than that one. Aikman was the face of the franchise, a strong leader and a good example for his teammates, always wanting to do the right thing, it seems. Irvin, meanwhile, was admittedly a bit of a wild card, but a strong leader and incredible worker, as well.

The Cowboys, meanwhile, could use more players like Aikman and Irvin right now.

Dallas fell to 2-4 on the season with Sunday night’s loss to the Packers. The Cowboys have their work cut out for them moving forward this season, but the NFC East remains pretty winnable.

The Cowboys will face divisional rival Philadelphia on “Monday Night Football” next week.
