Berekum Chelsea head coach Kwaku Danso has praised Paul Atta Agyei following his contribution to their 2-0 victory over Heart of Lions in Matchweek 7 of the Ghana Premier League.

Dramani Awuah and Atta Agyei scored as Berekum Chelsea secured an important away win, with Danso highlighting the forward’s growing confidence and familiarity with the venue.

“So Atta Agyei, even when you look at our previous matches, he’s now coming up. And today I told him that he has a goal. So he should push. And he tried. It worked. And he knows the pitch. He feels at home when playing here. He feels at home. So no wonder he has scored for us,” he told Berekum Chelsea TV.

Atta Agyei’s goal carried added significance, having scored for Heart of Lions when they defeated Berekum Chelsea 1-0 last season.

The victory moves Berekum Chelsea to ninth on the league table with 10 points from seven matches.

Danso’s side will now turn their attention to their next league fixture against Samartex, scheduled for Sunday at 3:00 pm, as they look to build on their winning momentum.
