KARACHI: K-Electric has announced a scheduled power shutdown across several areas of Karachi on October 20 due to maintenance work. According to the utility’s notification, electricity supply will be suspended at different times from early morning until late at night, affecting consumers connected to the relevant feeders.

Areas Affected by Scheduled Power Outages According to the announced schedule, electricity supply will be interrupted at the Pole Seven, Gabol Town, Abdullah Shah Ghazi Goth, Army Flats, Askari V, Atif Latif RMU, Bilal Coach, BSK School, Chalchi Cooperative Housing Society, Chand Market (P-59), Chapal Builders, Crystal Ice, Defence Pumping Four, Defence 12, Dost Muhammad, Dua Chowk RMU, EFU, Falak Noor Mosque RMU, Faisal Garment, Ganhwar Khan Gabol, Gohar Green City, Hashoo Apartments and Ikhlas Chowk feeders.

The maintenance-related shutdowns will also affect the Islamia Colony, Jumma Khan, Karachi Admin Two, Karaka Pak, KDA Water Pump, Landhi B, Machhar Colony, Mashriq Society, Merchant Construction, Nazia Square, Nutri Pak, P&T Colony, P-10 RMU, Pakistan Leaf, Pehlwan Goth, Rizvia Society, SM Ubaid, Siddiq Goth, Summit Bank, Sweeper Quarters and One Mark (P-31) feeders.

Power Shutdown Timings The announced schedule indicates that outages in some areas will begin as early as 5:00 am, while electricity supply to most affected feeders will be suspended between 8:00 am and 10:30 am.

Some shutdowns are scheduled to continue until after 9:00 pm, while the outage for the Dost Muhammad feeder is listed until 10:59 pm.

In areas including Pole Seven, Gabol Town and Chand Market, electricity interruptions are expected to continue until 4:59 pm. For some other feeders, restoration times are listed between 5:00 pm and 6:00 pm.

The Nutri Pak feeder is scheduled to remain without electricity from 11:00 am until 9:59 pm.

Consumers Advised to Plan Ahead Residents and businesses in the affected areas are advised to review the announced schedule, complete essential tasks in advance and plan their use of electrical appliances accordingly.
