IRGC spokesperson Brigadier General Hossein Mohebbi says Iran is prepared for further conflict
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has warned that any new attack on the country would trigger a more severe response.
“We are fully prepared; this time, our response will be far more severe,” IRGC spokesperson Brigadier General Hossein Mohebbi said.
Mohebbi also questioned the United States’ ability to launch another war, claiming that Washington lacked the military and technical capacity to initiate a new conflict.
Mohebbi warned that Iran would retaliate if Israel targeted Iranian facilities.
“If Israel damages our facilities, we will render Israeli territories barren,” he said.
The IRGC spokesperson also asserted that Iranian forces would push back any aggressors, saying they would be driven towards the Sinai Desert.
The remarks signal a renewed warning from Tehran against further military action targeting Iran. The statements and threats were attributed to Mohebbi; independent verification of the remarks was not provided in the material available.
Mohebbi suggested that the approaching US elections could influence Washington’s decisions on military action.
“With elections approaching, the United States might initiate a war for political purposes,” he said.
He did not provide evidence in the quoted remarks to substantiate the claim about US political motives.
