The American soccer star traded her uniform for a glamorous runway outfit on Sunday, October 18, making her debut at the 2026 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in Los Angeles.

Rodman joined an established lineup of international models, including Gigi Hadid, Adriana Lima and Candice Swanepoel, but admitted that the unfamiliar environment brought unexpected nerves.

“I mean there’s a lot of differences. It’s very nerve-wracking,” Rodman said before the event. “I would say I’m more nervous for this than probably a World Cup game.”

Rodman’s outfit featured sparkling micro shorts, a cropped vest and a glittering bra, offering a dramatic contrast to the soccer kits she normally wears while representing the United States.

The daughter of former NBA star Dennis Rodman also chose to wear her dark brown hair in natural curls, describing the decision as an important expression of her individuality.

“I think this is probably the first time I’m wearing my hair natural, so I’m really excited to do that and just embrace who I am,” she explained.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Rodman described the experience in equally enthusiastic terms.

“I feel empowered. I feel confident. I feel girly. It’s nice,” she said.

The appearance reflected Rodman’s longstanding interest in fashion, having previously described her personal style to Vogue as “very loud, colorful and creative.”

One of the evening’s most meaningful moments came when Rodman reunited with Natalia Bryant, the eldest daughter of the late basketball legend Kobe Bryant.

Both women made their Victoria’s Secret debuts at the event, having known each other since they were young children.

“Natalia Bryant, me and her have known each other since we were little kids, like four or five years old,” Rodman revealed. “I saw her as soon as I walked in. To have a familiar face was really nice.”

Bryant, 23, appeared in embellished jeans, a black Pink-logo bra and a bright pink cropped top, accessorizing with statement earrings and a sparkling handbag.

Although Sunday marked her Victoria’s Secret debut, Bryant was already familiar with high-profile fashion events, having walked for Versace at Milan Fashion Week in 2023.

“It feels amazing! I can’t wait,” Bryant told Page Six beforehand. “I used to watch the show every year, since I was a little girl.”

Rodman’s runway appearance came during a particularly demanding period of her soccer career, with Washington recently securing a playoff berth following a victory over Gotham FC.

She had also represented the United States in two international friendlies against Spain during the preceding week.

Despite those commitments, Rodman has increasingly embraced opportunities to express herself outside professional soccer.

Her latest appearance highlighted another dimension of an athlete who has already established herself as a leading figure in American women’s soccer.

While the runway presented unfamiliar challenges, Rodman’s confidence and enthusiasm demonstrated why she continues attracting attention beyond the sport that made her famous.
