EU–Ghana 2026 agribusiness forum to connect Ghanaian, European businesses
More than 400 visitors, alongside Ghanaian and European exhibitors, businesses, investors, buyers and industry stakeholders, are expected to come together in Accra from October 28-29, 2026 for the EU–Ghana Agribusiness Exhibition Forum 2026, on the theme “Where Europe Meets Ghana.”
The two-day forum and exhibition would create a practical platform for businesses to showcase products and services, explore new markets, identify investment opportunities and develop commercial partnerships across the agribusiness value chain.
The exhibition would feature Ghanaian and European companies, including businesses from the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Sweden, Denmark, Germany and the United Kingdom.
Through exhibition, networking and business matchmaking, participants will have opportunities to connect with buyers, suppliers, distributors, investors, technology providers and strategic partners.
The programme would focus on practical opportunities and challenges affecting agribusiness trade and investment, including EU–Ghana trade and investment opportunities, market access, export readiness, standards and regulatory requirements, financing, value-chain development, technology and innovation and sustainable agriculture.
A statement issued in Accra said the forum would also highlight the growing importance of quality standards, sustainability, traceability and regulatory compliance for businesses seeking to access international and European markets.
“The event is expected to feature H.E. the EU Ambassador to Ghana, together with senior representatives of the Government of Ghana, European diplomatic missions, participating companies, the private sector and supporting organisations. Further details on confirmed speakers and official participants will be announced as arrangements are finalised,” it said.
According to Nicolas Gebara, Executive Director of EuroCham Ghana, the forum had been designed to move beyond dialogue and create practical commercial opportunities.
“The forum is about turning conversations into commercial opportunities by bringing Ghanaian and European businesses together with buyers, investors and value-chain partners.
We want participants to identify concrete opportunities for trade, investment, technology cooperation and partnerships that continue beyond the two days,” he said.
The forum would bring together a strong network of European and Ghanaian institutional partners committed to strengthening trade, investment and business connections between Europe and Ghana.
The event is being organised by EuroCham Ghana, in partnership with the Government of Ghana, the Ghana Investment Promotion Authority (GIPC) and GNBCC, with RVO Netherlands and the Delegation of the European Union to Ghana serving as institutional partners.
As the Key Private Sector Sponsor of the EU–Ghana Agribusiness Exhibition Forum 2026, AAK is supporting the Forum’s focus on sustainable value creation, innovation and commercially relevant agribusiness solutions.
AAK is a global ingredient company specialising in plant-based oils and fats, with long-standing shea operations in West Africa and a presence in Ghana since 1958.
For Ghanaian businesses, the statement said the forum would offer opportunities to engage with European companies, buyers and investors and explore new markets, technology, investment, distribution channels and international value chains.
“For European companies, it provides an opportunity to identify Ghanaian business partners, suppliers, distributors, customers and investment opportunities, while gaining a deeper understanding of the Ghanaian market.
The organisers expect the forum to generate business connections, trade leads, investment discussions, technology partnerships and longer-term commercial relationships between Ghana and Europe,” it said.
