Trump Reveals Iran’s Desperate Plea in US Talks, Says ‘Will You Please Allow Us to Live?’

US President Donald Trump has claimed that Iran’s biggest concern in its negotiations with Washington is securing an assurance that the United States will allow the country to survive, as he maintained that the ongoing war has inflicted severe damage on its military and leadership.

According to a report by Fox News on Thursday, October 15, 2026, that Trump made the remarks during a campaign rally in Kalispell, Montana, on Wednesday, where he discussed the conflict and the negotiations between Washington and Tehran.

According to the president, Iran is seeking guarantees that American forces will stop attacking the country, which he portrayed as increasingly weakened by the fighting.

“Now their main thing that they ask in negotiation is, ‘Will you please allow us to live?’” Trump said.

He continued, “They don’t want us to go after them.”

Trump alleged that Iran had lost much of its military strength, claiming that its naval and air capabilities had been wiped out, while its ground forces had sustained extensive damage.

“They don’t have a navy. They don’t have an air force. Their army has been decimated,” he said.

The president also claimed that repeated losses among Iran’s senior officials had significantly affected its leadership structure, creating uncertainty over who was currently representing the country in discussions with the United States.

Questioning the identities of the Iranian negotiators, Trump said the reported elimination of several layers of leadership had made it difficult to establish whom Washington was dealing with.

He expressed his uncertainty by saying he no longer knew “who the hell we’re negotiating with.”

Nevertheless, Trump remained optimistic about the prospects of ending the conflict, predicting that the confrontation would not continue for much longer.

“We’re going to knock this Iran thing off fast. It’s going to be over very quickly,” he said.

He further warned that the conflict would be brought to an end “one way or the other,” signalling that his administration was determined to achieve its objectives irrespective of the direction the negotiations took.

Trump’s comments reflected his confidence that sustained military action had weakened Iran’s position and could shape the outcome of diplomatic engagements between the two countries.

He also forecast a decline in international oil prices following the end of the war, suggesting that a resolution to the conflict would help ease pressure on global energy markets.

However, the future direction of oil prices will depend on the circumstances surrounding the end of hostilities, developments in the region and conditions in the international energy market.
